Devine formula65.9 kg
Robinson formula65.2 kg

These formulas are calibrated for adult heights and don't account for frame size, muscle mass, or very short stature. The spread across all four is a more useful guide than any single number.

Frequently asked

Why four different formulas?

Devine, Robinson, Miller, and Hamwi are all long-standing published formulas for ideal body weight, developed for different purposes (mostly historically for medication dosing). None is definitively "correct". Showing all four (and their average) gives a more honest range than picking just one.

Why is my result different from what I expect?

These formulas were calibrated for average adult body types and don't account for frame size, muscle mass, or very short stature. A muscular or large-framed person's healthy weight is often above what these formulas suggest.

Is "ideal weight" the same as a healthy weight?

Not exactly. These are decades-old reference formulas, not a personalized health target. A healthy weight range depends on more than height and sex alone, including body composition and overall health.

Is this medical advice?

No. It's a mathematical estimate for general informational purposes only, not medical advice. Consult a healthcare provider for personalized guidance.
