Frequently asked
Is my content sent anywhere to generate the code?
No. The QR code is generated in this tab. Nothing is sent anywhere. That includes Wi-Fi passwords.
What does the error-correction level do?
Higher levels (Q, H) let the code still scan even if it's partly damaged or obscured (e.g. a logo placed in the middle), at the cost of a denser-looking code for the same content.
Will the Wi-Fi QR code actually work?
Yes. It's encoded in the standard WIFI: format that iOS and Android camera apps both recognize, prompting to join the network directly.
Is there a limit to how much text I can encode?
QR codes can hold a few thousand characters, but very long content produces a denser code that's harder to scan reliably. Shorter is more reliable.
Does this work offline?
Yes, once the page has loaded.
