Frequently asked
Why is my actual take-home different from this estimate?
Every employer structures CTC differently. The exact split between basic, HRA, allowances, and other benefits varies. This uses common assumptions (basic as a % of CTC, 12% PF, a flat professional tax) that won't match every payslip exactly.
What is 'gratuity provision'?
Employers often set aside roughly 4.81% of basic pay annually as a gratuity provision within the CTC figure. It's part of your CTC but isn't paid out monthly.
Does this include bonuses or variable pay?
No. This assumes your entered CTC is the fixed component. Bonuses, ESOPs, and other variable pay aren't modeled.
Is my salary information sent anywhere?
No. Everything is calculated in this tab.
