Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Colors are extracted on a canvas in this tab. Nothing is sent anywhere.
How are the colors chosen?
Similar shades are grouped together and the most common groups are returned as swatches, ranked by how much of the image they cover. Not a precise perceptual clustering algorithm, but a fast, dependency-free approximation that works well for most photos and graphics.
Why don't the percentages add up to 100%?
They're relative to just the colors shown. An image can have many minor colors beyond the top few swatches.
Does this work offline?
Yes, once the page has loaded.
