Frequently asked

Are my files uploaded to your servers?

No. Metadata is read and stripped entirely in this tab. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Why does this matter?

Many phones embed the exact GPS coordinates a photo was taken at, plus your camera model and the date. Details you may not want attached to something you post publicly.

Will this change how my photo looks?

No. Pixels are untouched. Only the invisible metadata is removed, and the image is re-encoded at the same quality.

What about PNG or WebP files?

They rarely carry EXIF the way JPEGs do, so the viewer usually shows nothing for those. But the "download a clean copy" step still re-encodes the file to be safe.

Does this work offline?

Yes, once the page has loaded.
